My School is a non-profit preschool, a community service of the Southside Church of Christ.

My School teachers are Christians and experienced with preschool children.  They are not paid, but volunteer their time because they love children and enjoy teaching them, especially about Jesus Christ and His Word.

Our primary goal for the children is that they have a positive early-school experience and that they feel secure and loved at My School. With this foundation, learning is fun and comes naturally.

My School meets on Thursday mornings at Southside from 9:30 am – 1:00 pm. during the school year.

My School students receive hands-on instruction in letters, colors, numbers, science, community helpers, nature, art, music, Bible, cooking, and much more.

Most graduates of My School are ready for Kindergarten by the end of the year.

The children bring a sack lunch from home and eat at school.

A child must be 30 months old (2 ½) to enroll.

The My School program depends on parental help. Each child's parent is asked to work with us at least four times during the school year..

The cost for a semester of My School is $125, or $250 for the school year.
The cost for children of Southside members is $115, $230 per year.
The cost for two or more siblings is $105 each, $210 per year

My School begins Thursday, September 11, 2003, and runs through May 13th, 2004. Orientation Day is Tuesday, September 9th.

My School is looking for more workers to join our team for the coming 2003-2004 school year. If you can spare your Thursday mornings and have a heart for little children, we invite you to come be a part of our My School family. Children of My School workers attend at no charge.  There is a nursery provided for workers’ children who are too young to attend My School

Southside children are given priority on the waiting list.

"The children we teach every Thursday are a gift from God. We view the brief time we have with them as our opportunity to impress His love on their tender hearts. Their parents have entrusted us with their most precious possession. We strive to be the kind of teachers that we pray for God to bring to our own children."
