Meeting people and building relationships are an important part of church life.

Are you looking to make new friends?

A great way to make friends at Southside is to get involved with the small group ministry.

Do you like to spend time with church members in addition to Sunday morning?

Would you enjoy an informal time of learning more about God and drawing closer to Him?

If your answers are “yes,” then our small group ministry – known as “home church” – might be just for you.  On Sunday nights, groups of Southside members – usually from 10-30 people – meet at members’ homes for home church.  The format for home church may vary from group to group.  Activities usually include prayer, singing, an informal devotional lesson or Bible study, and a discussion time.  Groups often plan a meal before or after the devotional.  Children are welcome.  We’ve found it to be a great way for meeting people and building relationships.  Some home churches meet more often than once a month.  Southside’s teenagers and college students have their own home church groups.

If you would like to know more about home church, see our pulpit minister, Bryan Barrett.  You may call Bryan at the church building, 278-9533.
